THE Dynamos Supporters Association Mutare Chapter is scheduled to have an end of the year party in Mutare next Saturday despite their team finishing the season on a largely unfamiliar fifth position on the Cattle Lager Premiership log standing. In a statement, the Dynamos Football Club Supporters Association chairman for Manicaland, Coleen Mbato, who is also in the national executive of the DeMbare supporters body, said the gathering was meant for all Dynamos supporters in the province.
“The chapter shall have an end of the year party on December 17, commencing at 12-noon. Pick ‘n’ save (PaMupfumi) shall be venue. We are primarily calling on all Dynamos supporters and by extension other soccer supporters, to attend this momentous occasion.
“Yes, we are quite aware Dynamos had a nightmarish season this year and as a result of that, we felt compelled to have a brief moment to wine and dine collectively as a family, alas, in an introspection mood.
“I am sure the event will create a conducive platform that will see a cross pollination of football brains vital in repositioning the most successful club on the land to its former glorious days. We need everyone’s input in ensuring that a change of fortune is realised in the forthcoming 2017 soccer season.
“Chapter members are in the process of tightening all loose ends logistically in a bid to make the event a success. Come December 17, we will only be expecting Dynamos fans painting Mutare blue and white with their regalia.
“Finally allow me in my capacity as the Chapter chairperson as well as the national executive member to wish all the Dembare supporters who will not make it to the party a merry Christmas and a fruitful 2017,” reads part of the statement.
