SOME areas in Mutare will experience low water pressure, while others will have erratic supplies as production at the Odzani treatment plant has been affected following the high rainfall received over the past days.

In a statement today, Mutare City Council said: “Notice is hereby given to Mutare residents and stakeholders that due to the high rainfall received in the past days, the Pungwe River has recorded high turbidity and that has affected water production at the Odzani water treatment plant.”

The development has significantly reduced water production capacity since purification is low due to the high turbidity.

“As a result some areas in the city will experience low pressure while others will have erratic water supplies,” adds the statement.
