Mutare gears up for thrilling weekend entertainment

MUTARE is set for another exciting weekend, packed with music, dance and unforgettable nightlife experiences as entertainment joints across the city roll out top-class shows for revellers. From live performances by celebrated musicians to energetic DJ sets and chilled old school sessions, fun lovers are spoiled for choice with a wide range of activities lined up from Friday through to Sunday.
Café Alana
Celebrated songstress, Feli Nandi takes her “Road to Fill Up HICC” campaign to Mutare this weekend when she performs at Café Alana tomorrow (Saturday). The talented Afro-fusion and soul singer, known for her powerful vocals and emotionally relatable song-writing, is expected to serenade fans with some of her popular songs including Munhu Wangu, Ko Inini?, Chana Changu and Mufudzi Wemombe. Fans are expected to flock to the venue for what promises to be an electrifying performance from one of Zimbabwe’s finest female artistes.
Chitsa Bar and Liquids
The weekend entertainment line-up promises to keep revellers on their feet, starting with the exciting “Friday Made Me Do It” session which is expected to set the tone for a fun-filled weekend. On Saturday, DJs Stixxie and Popinjo will take over the turntables for the much-anticipated “Retro Saturday”, treating fans to classic hits and timeless party anthems. The weekend will then wind down with “Relaxed Sunday”, a laid-back old school music experience to be superintended by DJ Tawaz, who is expected to serenade fans with soothing classics and nostalgic tunes.
Shisha and Grill
The newly-opened entertainment joint situated in Area 3, Dangamvura, continues to attract fun seekers with its vibrant atmosphere and growing reputation for quality entertainment. DJs Nash, Meek Tha DJ and Marvel are expected to keep patrons entertained on Friday and Saturday with energetic mixes and crowd-favourite hits. On Sunday, Afro-pop artistes, Caff and Sparxx will provide live entertainment backed by a live band in what promises to be a lively musical experience.
Club Mandisa
The joint will once again provide an energetic nightlife atmosphere this weekend as seasoned DJs Apple D and Nasty take charge of the decks. The two entertainers are expected to keep the party alive in both the main bar and VIP section, where patrons can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere accompanied by dazzling entertainment from vixens throughout the weekend.
Plus 44 Connect
Situated in Dora communal lands, the spacious spot continues to grow as one of the preferred entertainment spots outside the city centre. Popular DJ Zincyard is expected to headline the entertainment programme on Friday and Sunday, treating fans to a lively mix of dancehall, amapiano, house and local hits.
Pahukama
Local DJs are expected to keep the entertainment flowing throughout the weekend at the leisure spot located in Zimta, with patrons set to enjoy a variety of music ranging from contemporary hits to dance classics from Friday to Sunday.
Acid Bar
Fun lovers visiting the leisure centre can look forward to a vibrant musical atmosphere as local DJs dish out a blend of old school and contemporary music throughout the weekend, providing the perfect setting for relaxation and socialising.
