Mutare replacing non-functional meters

Municipal Reporter
CITY of Mutare is conducting an exercise to assess and replace non-functional water meters, beginning with the top 3 000 consumers across the city.
The local authority’s principal communications officer Mr Charles Sadondo said the exercise is already underway and will be rolled out continuously throughout the city.
“The purpose of this exercise is to do away with estimating meter readings and, therefore, reduce billing complaints,” he said.
Mr Sadondo urged residents, stakeholders and property owners to cooperate with the teams carrying out the exercise.
