RESURGENT Mutare City will be hoping to continue with their fine run this afternoon when they meet ZPC Kariba in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Nyamhunga.
Mutare City coach Taku Shariwa appears to have turned things around for the newboys.
“It is a tough match considering they are experienced from the technical team up to the players and cannot be compared to us,” said Shariwa.
“We are progressing well, but the past games are now water under the bridge and this is a new game altogether.”
The duo of Sam Msimbu and Derby Duri are suspended while forwards Caleb Masocha and Russell Madamombe are injured.
ZPC Kariba coach Sunday “Mhofu” Chidzambwa said he respects the newboys.
The Kariba side will be without the influential pair of Wisdom Mutasa and Takudzwa Mahori who are nursing injuries.
“It is going to be a tough match for us. I don’t think they are new boys anymore, they are used to PSL life and I don’t think we have to underrate them at all.
“If they can beat How Mine it just shows that they are a strong side.
“People in town are expecting a good match from us and their expectations are to have the team win always, but you know a football can bounce anywhere,” said Chidzambwa.
