UNBEATEN Old Hararians Sports Club are on a roll, but their unbeaten run faces a stern test today when they take on Harare Province Rugby League leaders Old Georgians Sports Club at the Police Grounds.
OGs are also yet to taste defeat and are on a high having trashed Sports Club over the weekend.
OH have also collected winning points against the Red Lions and the deadlock between the two will be broken this weekend.
With action making a return to the spiritual home of Zimbabwe rugby, both Old Georgians and the Old Boys are under pressure to conclude the first half of the season as leaders and earn a Gold Cup qualifier home semi-final.
Versatile backliner and former Sables captain Cleopas Makotose knows it is not going to be an easy game.
“Old Georgians are a good side and we can tell from the way they played against Sports Club over the weekend and they are very confident due to what they achieved.
“Nevertheless, we will not read a lot into their achievements.
“We are also an organised side, we have systems that we trust and we are prepared for them, our game against them will be a different game, a different field and a different scenario.
“We have a number of experienced players who are able to withstand the kind of pressure games against teams like Old Georgians come with.
“Against Mutare Sports Club (last weekend) we showed good depth, we kept the intensity high up to the end of the game and that is something we have to carry forward into the next game,” said Makotese.
