Zimbabwe Korfball Federation president Tarirai Chadeba was happy with the turnout at the two-day tournament.

“The turnout was quiet impressive. Three provinces were represented. I was quite happy with the Harare teams who came in their numbers to this tournament.

“We believe as a federation we have made significant strides towards developing the sport which is considered to be a minority sport.

“We do not have any sponsorship at the moment but I believe that korfball has the potential to attract interest, just like football, in the near future. “The sport is developing in our nation, 90 percent of the schools are playing the sport in Harare Province. We are working on establishing the sport in other provinces,” he said.
