Mutharika’s death: Malawi declares 10-day mourning period as Joyce Banda assumes power

Elsewhere, the football association of Malawi (FAM) has called off all football activities during the next 10 – day mourning period in respect of the late Mutharika.

The USA had earlier on issued a condolence message to Malawi well before the government had officially announced the death of their president.
