Mutoko Rural District Council has completed the construction of a clinic in Bepeta, a community in Mutoko Sóuth, with close to 1 200 households set to benefit from the institution.
The construction was funded from devolution funds as the council aims at improving the livelihoods of everyone in the district.

The completion of this clinic, which is about 60 km from Mutoko centre, comes as a relief to communities under Chief Charehwa who were enduring walking close to 20 km to get health services from Kagande clinic with some travelling for 60 km to Mutoko General Hospital in Mutoko centre.
The clinic is offering maternity services and has male and female wards for observation of patients. Already, health personnel have been deployed to the clinic and when The Herald arrived at the institution, some villagers were receiving their first jabs against Covid-19.
