Autoworld Chisipite showroom, Autoworld’s sales manager, Claude Ansley, described Mutopo’s win as a phenomenal feat as the Nomads had never recorded a hole-in-one on their Charity day.
“Nomad’s golf players have had holes in one before on other golf courses, and on other special occasions, but not on their annual Charity Day, so this is an unusual occurrence and we are really glad to be part of it,” said Ansley.
“The Orlando is a high class car that comes with a fantastic warranty of 120 000 km for five years.
“It also has a service interval of 15 000 km per year, so it will only be serviced once a year, hence I am sure Mr Mutopo will be looking forward to driving it for years to come.”
Mutopo, who has been playing golf since 1994, said it was the first time to sink a hole-in-one and described the Normads Charity Day as a “momentous, life changing experience.”
“I have been playing golf for the past 18 years but the Nomads was my first time to sink a hole-in-one,” said Mutopo.
“I guess it is just a clear sign that the Orlando was specially meant for me.”
The Autoworld group is a franchised motor dealer appointed by Isuzu Truck South Africa and General Motors South Africa to represent the Isuzu Truck, light commercial vehicles and Chevrolet brands within Zimbabwe.
It was established in Harare in 2003 with the opening of the Chisipite showroom, and has a dedicated service centre in Bluff Hill.
The company also has a second dealership in Bulawayo, which it opened in 2008.
