RICHMOND Mutumbami played the star role with a brilliant innings of 73 not out which powered Great Zimbabwe Patriots a 43-run victory against Westside in the first Zim Cyber-City Domestic T10 match at Harare Sports Club yesterday.
Westside, winning the toss, put Great Zimbabwe in to bat first.
They would have been sitting pretty except for the fact that they were unable to dismiss Mutumbami.
Mutumbami’s 73 came off only 30 balls, and he hit six sixes and seven fours, while Jongwe contributed 27 off 15 balls, with two sixes and two fours.
The end result was a score of 126 for three wickets, setting a total that Westside could scarcely hope to exceed.
