MUZA MAGIC: Gamecocks peck ahead

Chicken Inn are 1-0 up at halftime against Castle Lager Premier Soccer League newboys Kwekwe United, thanks to a clinical 30th-minute strike from Brian Muza.

The Gamecocks have been in total control of the match, creating chance after chance but failing to bury their opportunities. Muza and the tireless Michael Charamba have been the main culprits, missing several glorious chances that could have stretched the lead.

Moments after opening the scoring, Muza limped off with an injury, forcing coach Joey Antipas to introduce returning forward Malvin Hwata.

The game has drawn a sizeable crowd, with Chicken Inn attacking the South end of Luveve Stadium in the first half, while Kwekwe United defended from the North end.

The second half promises more action as the hosts push to seal the win and Kwekwe United fight to stay alive.
