WHO’S gonna stop them?
New boys MWOS are turning heads and rewriting the script in their maiden Castle Lager Premier Soccer League campaign.
Their latest victim is none other than struggling giants Chicken Inn.

A stunning first-half screamer from Nigel Matinha sealed it for the Lloyd Mutasa-coached side, sending the Luveve Stadium faithful into a frenzy and extending their unbeaten run to 10 matches.
The goal? Absolute magic!
In the 37th minute, Matinha curled a beauty from outside the box after a slick build-up involving Billy Veremu and Malvern Mudzuka, leaving Chicken Inn goalie Donovan Bernard rooted like a statue.

With that moment of brilliance, MWOS now sit proudly at the top of the league standings on 22 points, three clear of Simba Bhora.
Meanwhile, the pressure cooker continues to bubble under Joey Antipas and his Chicken Inn technical bench — just one win in ten and boos growing louder with every match.

Though the Gamecocks tried to claw back in the second half, with Majika and Makopa brought in to inject life, it was MWOS keeper Martin Mapisa who stood tall, pulling off crucial saves, including a last-gasp stop from skipper Xolani Ndlovu.
This isn’t beginner’s luck — this is a team on a mission!

Fulltime: MWOS 1 – 0 Chicken Inn
Top of the league. Unbeaten. Unstoppable?
