A WOMAN stunned the Harare Civil Court when she claimed her husband is a ‘murderer’.
Sarah Gozho told the court that she even suspects that her husband Lloyd Mashidzo has committed several serious crimes.
“I have seen a machete with blood under the bed and a knife wrapped around his T-shirt.
“He yells at the children when l confront him and calls me a prostitute.
“Sometimes he becomes violent and destroys the windows at our rented property.”
She added:
“Last week he threatened to burn my car and attempted to take rat poison afterwards.
“The police were the ones who rescued him by stopping him from taking the poison.
“He is also in the habit of using dangerous weapons like metal boards to hit me.”
In response, Mashidzo denied the allegations and told the court that he loves his wife and will never harm her.
“I love my wife and l will never do anything that will harm her.
“Yes, the weapons found were mine. I don’t use these dangerous weapons to harm people.”
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Sarah a protection order.
