RAUNCHY dancer, Beverly “Bev” Sibanda, says her legacy is secure.
Bev, who has been in the game for over a decade, says she has left footprints which will still be visible for years to come.
“People might denounce us as dirty dancers but there is something which they will not take away from me, which is talent and legacy.
“As the boss of Sexy Angels Dance Group, I have employed several dancers over the years and I have even added male members.
“Of course, we mainly play in pubs but I have been sharing the stage with big artists like Chief Hwenje at national events, where I have never disappointed.
“What I only ask from arts regulatory chiefs is an honour, I deserve my flowers now,” she said.
The mother of one, who also doubles up as an entrepreneur, urged fellow creatives to invest in other areas.
“We shouldn’t lay all our eggs in one basket but we should always find something to do besides dancing.
“A lady should find something that she sells which can make them generate an extra dollar.
“You can’t dance forever but let’s utilise the fame that we have to make sure that we create business opportunities.
‘In my case, I have been multi-tasking after venturing into the cosmetics business which has been doing fairly well.”
Bev, who is no stranger to controversy, is one of the consistent dancers doing well on the local showbiz landscape.
She has been a torch-bearer for other dance groups following in her footsteps.
