A CHIHOTA woman dragged her young sister’s son to court accusing him of neglecting her.

Betty Matienga applied for a protection order against her nephew, Takunda Tamuka, 28.

She told the court that Takunda was neglecting her despite being the one who raised him from childhood.

Presiding magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the application.

“Takunda doesn’t want to be reprimanded, anotondituka achiti hamusi mai vangu asi ndini ndakamurera.

“His mother is in the UK and she is the one who always sends me to check onhim and the house in Mufakose.

“I am no longer free to visit my sister’s house hachandida mwana uyu,” said Betty.

However, Tamuka said his mother bought him the house.

“My mother bought me the house in question. She used to be my guardian collecting rentals when I was young, but now I am grown. She is jealous because the house is in my name,” said Tamuka.
