I find this all so boring and would really like to have some fun. What is enjoyable about hanging out with cousins who are either older or younger than you and that you really do not like anyway? And the other thing is that the maid will be away for the holidays and I just end up as an unpaid servant for all the visitors who come in.
Worst of all I do not even get the chance to catch my favourite shows on TV because there will be grown-ups in the lounge all the time.
What I can I do to make the holidays more hip and less boring?
You need to change your attitude, girl. Maybe if you gave your cousins a chance you will discover that they are fun to be with. I am sure that your parents will let you go places with your cousins so if you get close to them you have a passport out of the house.
There are several places that your parents can drop you off at then pick you up there where there will be other kids. Try to negotiate for a relaxation of rules.
If you prove that you can be trusted then your parents will gradually allow you to do other things with your friends.

Hey holiday is about fun. For Christmas holiday I think you need to occupy yourself with things that can help and build yourself. If you can’t cope with family members, try hanging out with friends, going for a movie, picnic and window shopping. Again don’t worry about the television channel it would be best if you work with what is there. Try watching program that starts around afternoon so that you leave time for the adults at night. Besides join them when its news time.

Doing household chores is no big deal, if you plan it well you will see that by the time you reach 10 am you will be done. Besides you are a girl and it is your duty to do the chores.
