Artistes from Bulawayo, Mzoe 7, Natasha Carol Gora, Tinashe Tafirenyika and Sticky ZW are among those who came out tops at the ZimStars Arts Awards that were held at the Vista in Bulawayo on Friday.
Mzoe 7 was named the Best Dance/House Artiste while Natasha Gora was adjudged the Best Female Model. Tinashe Tafirenyika won the Outstanding Poet while Sticky ZW won in the Outstanding Graphics Design category.
The awards ceremony also saw the cast and producers of hit drama series, Wadiwa Wepamoyo get several awards. These were Everson K Chieza who was named best actor, Tadiwa Kimberly Bopoto – best actress and the drama’s director, Derby Beta who was awarded for being the outstanding film director and producer.
Dancehall chanter Jah Master won the Song of The Year award for his song Hello Mwari, People’s Choice award and Outstanding Zimdancehall artiste award.
Nox who is riding high with his My Melody hit which features South African, Master KG was also awarded for that song.
Late model Michelle “Moana” Amuli who died in a car accident recently, won the Best Socialite award while fast-rising online TV station, Nash TV won the Best Online broadcaster award and outstanding presenter award.
The Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs gong was clinched by vibrant personality, Ray Vines through his Mukukuzvi company.
Founder of the awards which were in their second edition, Tinashe Mandlokuwa said he was glad that they managed to stage the awards successfully.
