TALENTED and versatile music maestro Mzoe 7 delivered a show-stopping performance on Saturday night at The Vista, as he mesmerised a youthful crowd with his energetic dances and sing-along tracks.
The last Saturday before the opening of schools has traditionally been a day for fun and revelry at the venue and it seemed to be the event to attend in Bulawayo, featuring a star-studded line-up of Mzoe 7, Crazy Masters, ELee, and DJ Dosto.
The event kicked off with energetic performances from Browny, the host, followed by Elbee 1, one of the most creative performers, before DJ Ayax and Toxic took to the decks.
DJ Dosto commanded the dance floor with an amapiano set, featuring both local and international tracks, before introducing Mzoe 7, who opened the stage with his song “Ginimbi.”
He got the crowd into a frenzy as he belted out the song “Tshilamoya,” featuring Thandy Dhlana.
Mzoe 7 then changed the tempo with his Ulimenemene Gqom-style song, which received a great response as he engaged the audience in identifying their respective townships.
The youths were thrilled to see the local star, and Mzoe 7 even ended up performing at the DJ box as onlookers clamoured for a chance to touch the celebrity, making it a challenging night for security on the dance floor.
Mzoe 7 enjoyed performing at The Vista and mentioned that he will be doing more events in and around the city, with some new projects set to be released soon.
“It’s always great to perform in front of a Bulawayo crowd, and most importantly, the youthful crowd with whom my music resonates the most.
“I have two new singles coming out in two weeks, and with them, I promise a summer vibe as we head into the festive season,” said Mzoe 7.
