Afro-fusion songster Mzobanzi “Mzoe 7” Mlauzi is set to share the stage with celebrated musician Samthing Soweto of the amapiano hit Akulaleki, Kaygee, Bizizi among others, at Sidebe Resort in Eswatini for a family fun day on February 29.

The regional tour comes after a successful collaboration with Swati musicians A2Z and Krtc.

With his Extended Play (E.P) titled, United Country of Africa (UCA) in the oven, the muso has won many fans through his unique sound across Africa which is mostly referred to as the Wakanda style due to the Naija vibe in it.

Mzoe 7, affectionately called Gagagugu, has released his list of countries to tour this year, starting with Eswatini, Botswana, South Africa and Malawi.

“I’m spreading my wings to Africa. I feel like I’m ready for Africa now, with the true sound of Mzoe which is Afro-fusion,” said Mzoe 7.

Why is his Afro Fusion different from the Zimbabwean style?

It is palpable that the songster’s paradigm shift from Rhumba to Afro-fusion is a stunt to appeal to the whole of Africa.

“Originally I’m from the Lomo tribe, Malawi and Pidgin English is very common there, that is why lately I’ve been sounding West African.

“That sound is common to Nigeria, Tanzania, Ghana and part of Malawi, it’s rather African, not Naija,” said Mzoe 7.

The artiste has expressed his elation at being recognised in Africa and this year he has vowed to accelerate his rise with touring Africa.
