THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (Naaz) has begun its rebranding which is being spearheaded by 5 Brands Consulting Group and involves the launch of a new logo and a series of strategic initiatives.

5 Brands, a marketing and consulting group, is committed to growing athletics in Zimbabwe. The partnership between the two organisations will see approximately $1 million invested in the sport’s development between now and 2028.

Ruth Ncube, managing partner at 5 Brands, expressed her excitement about the partnership.

“5 Brands Consulting Group is honoured to lead this repositioning and rebranding process, ensuring that our new logo reflects the progress, ambition and vision of Zimbabwean athletics. This change comes at a crucial time as Zimbabwe is set to host several major national, regional and international athletics competitions in the coming years. Our refreshed brand identity is not just about aesthetics; it’s a strategic move to position Zimbabwe as a strong and globally recognised force in athletics,” she said.

Naaz president Tendayi Tagara stressed the significance of the rebranding.

“Our logo represents more than just a visual change; it embodies our dedication to revitalising athletics in Zimbabwe. This rebranding is a testament to our commitment to progress, excellence and the unification of our athletic community,” said Tagara.
