Naaz to hold track and field events

THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe is set to host a number of track and field championship events at White City Stadium on 26 January.

The sporting event is targeting cadets up to senior age groups within the region. 

According to Manual Mpofu, the chairman of the Bulawayo Athletics Board, athletes will battle over a number of disciplines. 

There will be also field events with main emphasis being on high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin, discus and javelin.

“The event is open to all age groups an is being conducted as part of our preparations for the upcoming international events set for Abijan, Cote D’lvoire and Qatar, among other destinations beginning in April. 

Interested teams can send their details through our email address as part of the registration exercise,” said Mpofu.
