THE National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ) has applauded Khaya Arts Production for being one of the best arts groups in Bulawayo whose culture of hard work and discipline should be emulated.

NACZ has been working with Khaya Arts Production for more than six years during which time the group has done well for itself hence the deserved credit given to them.

Speaking in an interview with Sunday Life, NACZ Programmes officer William Nyandoro said during the many years the council has been working with different arts groups in Bulawayo, Khaya Arts has maintained a high level of discipline, something that he wishes other groups should emulate.

“It is nice to recognise the talent that the group has and how it has done really well in the last few years mostly thanks to the group director Future Dube who has kept the outfit disciplined,” Nyandoro said.

Nyandoro urged the group to stay humble and learn from artistes of yesteryear.

“Khaya Arts is one of the luckiest groups managing to get massive support from Jeys Marabini. He is such a humble man who has taught them to be humble as well,” he said.

NACZ has been receiving positive feedback from the clients that Khaya Arts has worked with and this has made them take pride in the group as they are making them proud as well.

“The feedback that we have been getting from most of the companies or individuals about the group’s performances makes us proud of the group,” Nyandoro said.

“We urge other artistes to be like Khaya Arts and follow in their footsteps as it has led by example in Bulawayo as a whole,” he said.

The group’s director, Dube said he was humbled with the support that they have received from different companies and individuals as it has contributed immensely to their success.

“We would like to give thanks to Jeys Marabini for the humility that he has shown to the group through the advice that he gives to us. He has shaped us into what we are today. We also want to give thanks to William Nyandoro who to us has been a good man who has worked with us for some time. He has referred many clients to us on several occasions,” Dube said.

Dube said as a group they have strived hard to make a name that will live forever by being disciplined and well behaved.

“I have always made sure that I stick to my rules and regulations and tolerate no nonsense in the group. Prayer has been one of the key factors which has made us to be recognised as one of the disciplined and best arts group in Bulawayo, whatever we do as a group we put God first,” he said. @kayskudzai
