Nakamba back at Luton

Online Reporter

Marvelous Nakamba returned to action on Wednesday afternoon after being included in Luton Town’s U21 matchday squad for a friendly against Leyton Orient.

Nakamba had been training alone and did not feature in any of the senior team’s pre-season friendlies.
The midfielder also missed the League One season opener against AFC Wimbledon on Friday.

He has now made his return by being named in the U21 starting XI for the friendly match against Leyton Orient.

The Zimbabwe national team captain’s absence from competitive action has fuelled speculation about a possible move away from Luton following their relegation from the English Championship. Head coach Matt Bloomfield has indicated he is open to letting Nakamba leave — but only for the right offer.

However, no concrete interest has materialised as the season gets underway.
