Nakamba is Villa’s outstanding player in Liverpool game

British newspaper The Birmingham Mail singled out Warriors midfielder Marvelous Nakamba as Aston Villa’s best player in the closely-fought 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Villa Park on Saturday.

Dean Smith’s men led for most of the game but two late goals from Andy Robertson and Sadio Mane ensured that Liverpool’s unbeaten run in the English top division continues.

The publication gave Nakamba a 9 out of 10 rating in the game, ahead of his his teammates Bjon Engels (8) and skipper Tyron Mings (8).

Birmingham Mail writer and Villa correspondent Ashley Preece, in giving Nakamba the best rating, had this to say: “He was absolutely everywhere for Villa, everywhere! Liverpool struggled to get past him, such was his dominance in Villa’s three-man midfield. Shouldn’t have been on the losing team.”– soccer24.co.zw/
