DULIVHADZIMU residents in Beitbridge were stunned when they woke up to a stark naked woman standing on top of a roof in a suspected case of witchcraft.
The shocking incident happened on Monday morning.
The woman only identified as Maggie was found naked on a roof seemingly confused and stranded.
A source from the suburb said: a�?We were shocked when we heard news there was a woman who had been found naked on a house roof.
a�?It was unbelievable, but when we got to the house we discovered it was real and she looked puzzled by what was happening.
a�?People concluded that she was a witch that had probably lost her powers during the night and failed to move.a�?
It is reported that people shouted at her ordering her to come down, but she turned out to be deaf and dumb resulting in courageous ones going to join her.
a�?It appeared as if she was stuck on the roof therefore two men went up the house to hear her story.
a�?She kept ignoring them and some people were calling for mob justice, but she was fortunate as police arrived at the scene,a�? said the source.
The woman was then given a cloth to wrap up her body.
a�?The police are the ones who managed to convince her to come down.
a�?She was then taken to the police station,a�? said the source.
A police source confirmed having received the report.
