THE capital, Harare, will be abuzz tonight as the 24th National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) returns to its traditional venue, the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
This year’s event is being held under the banner “Fearless Creativity” with introduction of new categories that include fashion, podcasts, just to mention a few.

The Matabeleland region is represented from the red carpet host through Taboka “MaNdazi Queen” Nleya, performing acts Fab G Mshanakagogo and Snowy, and through nominations of the likes of Brightman Dlamini, Ronald Sigeca, Thaluso Da Poet, John Mabuyane, Obert Dube and Sithandazile Dube.
The showcase promises a vibrant mix of established icons and rising stars across diverse genres.

The stage will also feature a stellar lineup, including Gospel sensations Dorcas Moyo, Ministers Ellard, Sharon Cherayi and Vabati VaJehova; dancehall king Freeman; Hip hop artiste Bling4; jiti maestro Baba Harare; Afro-jazz stalwarts Plaxedes Wenyika and Dino Mudondo; hitmakers Alexio Kawara and Sane Wavi; BaShupi; and the legendary Sekuru Gudo.
Fans can also expect electrifying performances from the Chillspot Family, featuring Chillmaster, Shone, Lil Eliana, Snowy, Runna Rulezi, Junior Spragga, Young Gemini, Natasha Mlalazi, Paddington Chiwashira, Melyssa and Cleo Arie.
