A NAMIBIAN delegation, including the Governor of Okavango. are going to spice up the 76th Mashonaland West Agricultural Show.
It is poised to be held from July 26 to 29.
The announcement was made by the Show Society Chairman, Godfrey Mavhankeni, during a press briefing at the showgrounds.
Mavhankeni said the agricultural show was going to be bigger and better than the previous one.
This year’s show has been moved from September to July to pave way for the national elections slated for August 23.
He said there has been an overwhelming response with over 100 exhibitors’ receipts issued out so far.
“We have quite a number of first timers who are showing interest in coming to our show,” said Mavhankeni.
“Of interest, we are going to host a delegation from Namibia.
“Last year we attended the Rundu Trade Fair together with the Minister of State and officials from her Ministry,” said Mavhankeni.
“So, the delegation is doing a reciprocal visit,”
Mavhankeni said they expect the Governor of Okavango East to be the guest of honour.
“We are going to have an agri business conference on the 27th. We are going to have stakeholders in the agricultural value chain,” said Mavhankeni.
