Namibia’s President, Dr Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, has paid a solemn tribute at the National Heroes Acre, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The act honoured the legacy of Zimbabwe’s fallen liberation heroes and heroines.

Standing before the towering monument, Dr Nandi-Ndaitwah reflected on the sacrifices that forged a path for both nations’ independence.

Her visit served not only as a gesture of remembrance but as a reaffirmation of the enduring bond between Namibia and Zimbabwe – a relationship rooted in shared struggles and unwavering solidarity.
