TSHOLOTSHO High School is hosting the National Association of Secondary Schools Heads (NASH) Stella Tea Under-17 Netball Finals on Thursday.
Twelve schools drawn from all the country’s 10 provinces are participating.
Ester Mandivei, the national head-in-charge of netball, said she is happy with the preparations that were put into organising the event. She said it is good to promote girls’ sport.
“We are rallying behind the girl child and looking forward to having a successful tournament,” she said.
Stella Tea will reward the top five schools.
Tsholotsho are the hosts and qualified on the strength of that while the rest went through rigorous cluster, district and inter-district play-off to determine representatives for the Thursday and Friday event.
Filchrist are the defending champions.
Participating and representing their provinces are the following schools: Filchrist (Mashonaland Central), Mweyamutsvene (Manicaland), Zvishavane (Midlands), Christianers (Mashonaland Central), Pamushana (Masvingo), Tsholotsho ( Matabeleland North), Mufakose (Harare), Rusununguko (Mashonaland East), Mosi Oa Tunya (Matabeleland North), St Joseph’s (Matabeleland South), Sobukazi (Bulawayo) and Mauya (Mashonaland West)
