National budget consultations move to Tsholotsho

TEAM C of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Budget, Finance and Investment Promotion is in Tsholotsho today for public consultations on the 2026 national budget.

The consultations will be held at the Tsholotsho Rural District Council boardroom.
The committee was divided into four teams for effective national consultations, which also resonates well with the national philosophy of leaving no one and no place behind.

Team C began its public consultations on Monday in Bulawayo.

On Wednesday, they will be at Ndiweni Centre in Bulilima District before wrapping up their tour of duty with visits to West Nicholson and Esigodini on Friday.

The purpose of the public consultations is to give effect to Parliament’s constitutional obligation to facilitate public involvement in its legislative and other processes and in the processes of committees.

Parliament’s role in the formulation of the National Budget is among its most important processes.

Members conducting these public consultations will be able to pass on to their fellow legislators information about the views held by taxpayers and other members of the public expressed during the consultations about Budget priorities and the allocation of funds among Ministries and what those funds should be spent on.
