ALL is set for the National Foods School of Excellence training camp closing ceremony slated for Thursday morning at Ellis Robins High School.
The periodical camp commenced on December 4 with the aim of grooming the next generation of the Mighty Warriors and ensuring that the Under 15, 17 and 20 teams emerging from this initiative become the feeder system to the senior national team.
The ceremony will see 82 athletes being honored with certificates before they get back to their various communities across the country.
“We have been in camp for the past weeks and it is time to release the young girls. The camp has been productive and we are happy that things are moving in the right direction,” said Northern Region chairperson Peter Gonyora.
“The ceremony will be held at Ellis Robins School Hall at 1000am. We want to bid farewell to the girls in style so that next time they are motivated to come back again.”
Northern Region Women Football patrons Minister of Skills, Audit and Development Professor Paul Mavima and Minister of Industry and Commerce Doctor Sithembiso Nyoni will be in attendance.
The SOE technical team is led by renowned football legend and coach Kalisto Pasuwa.
