THE country’s average dam levels have increased due to recent rainfall, the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa) has said.
In a statement, Zinwa said as of December 18, national dam levels had increased to 74,8 percent from 74 percent recorded on December 6 2023.
“Water levels in the dams have started to improve in response to the recent rains.
“The national dam level average is now 74,8 percent,” said Zinwa.
According to the latest statistics, Chivero is 75,4 percent full, Mzingwane (4,9 percent), Upper Ncema (23,7 percent), Inyakuni (27,1 percent) and Insiza (59,5 percent).
Tugwi Mukosi is 81,3 percent full, Lake Mutirikwi (92,1 percent) and Manyame (83,3 percent).
