The qualifiers, which will see six countries taking part — South Africa, Namibia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe — have been slated for December 16-19 in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Caroline Nyamande, the team manager/assistant coach, said the side was in camp and the preparations were going well ahead of the qualifiers.
“All is in place and the preparations are very efficient and we are playing many friendly matches against our local teams to ensure that we are more than ready.
“Yesterday we had games against Glenshiro Select at Old Hararians.
“We train everyday at Country Club, Old Hararians and Sunrise Country Club,” said Nyamande.
Zimbabwe came second, at the last event, when the lost to South Africa and Nyamande believes they will turn the tables. Zimbabwe will first play South Africa in the first match of the qualifiers before they play the host Tanzania the following day.
