AFTER being called-up to the senior national netball squad for the first time Nobukhosi Ndlovu is hoping she will make the final team that will represent the country at the upcoming Pent Series and African Championships in Namibia.

The Pent Series is due to take place from November 1 to 5, followed by the African Championships from November 9 to 16.
Namibia is hosting the two events.

The Gems technical team has roped in new players into the squad as they start rebuilding for the future after the departure of some senior players.

Among those players is Nobukhosi Ndlovu from Goldreef club.

“It feels good to be part of the senior team because I have the chance to learn from the experienced players. I am so happy because it’s my first time to be part of the senior team,” said Ndlovu.

The 21-year-old has just graduated from the Under-21 side and her goal is to make the final team that will travel to Namibia.

She plays centre, wing attack and wing defence.

“Of course the training is a bit tough compared to the junior teams but I am managing.

“I am hoping to make the final team and get into the first seven so that I get to experience how it is to play at that level with the seniors,” said Ndlovu.
