CASTLE Lager Premier Soccer League’s leading sharp shooter Tendai Ndoro is set to be registered as a Mpumalanga Black Aces player before the end of the week.According to South African media, the Chicken Inn hit man made a huge impression during trials and his move to the newly promoted Absa Premiership side is imminent.
Ndoro arrived at Aces last week after being allowed to leave the Warriors camp, where he was part of the squad preparing for the return leg of the Chan final qualifier against Zambia.
The gangly forward – an old school number 9 – has already scored 11 goals just past the halfway stage.
Straight after his arrival at Aces last week, he was then thrown into the fray in a friendly match against SuperSport United, making an impression that left the club convinced that he was what they needed.
He is set to join up with fellow countryman Method Mwanjali who is now the skipper at the side coached by the 1996 African Nations Cup winner with Bafana Bafana Clive Barker.
Meanwhile, Mwanjali led Amazayoni to a stunning away win against AmaZulu in a league match on Tuesday night, coming out 2-1 winners.
Omar Hendricks’s first half screamer had given Aces the lead, only for Bongi Macala to cancel it out with eight minutes remaining before Themba Zwane scored a stunning late strike.
Mwanjali had seen his troops fall at home to champions Kaizer Chiefs in the season opener in a match they generally had an upper hand.
While Mwanjali and teammates were on cloud nine celebrating the win, Knowledge Musona, the only Zimbabwean to be on duty for Kaizer Chiefs on the night, could do little to help his team collect their second set of maximum points as they drew one apiece with Moroka Swallows.
Musona though was a victim of many vicious tackles from the visitors’ defence and won the penalty scored by Bernard Parker to level matters.
