A HARARE woman hauled her neighbour to court after being accused of snatching her husband.

Monica Katsaruware said her relationship with her neighbour, Pepetua Changara, has been strained for a while.

Monica applied for a protection order against Pepetua, citing verbal and emotional abuse.

“Pepetua has been abusing me physically and verbally.

“She always threatens to harm me with dangerous weapons.

“Pepetua was once arrested when she destroyed my property,” she said.

In her defence, Pepetua said her major issue with Monica is that she was dating “my husband and she is not ashamed to say it in public.

“At one point, she shouted at me the whole night saying she is going to give my husband a child.

“She also told me that my husband won’t leave her,” she said.

Magistrate Rutendo Machingura granted Monica the protection order.
