Nephew kills uncle during drinking spree

POLICE have arrested a man who allegedly killed his uncle during a drinking spree.

In a statement, police said Calbert Mpofu (30) struck Lisani Dube (46) with a knobkerrie on the forehead.

The incident occurred on 9 December 2023 at Kungubo Business Centre.

“Police in Madlambuzi have arrested Calbert Mpofu (30) in connection with a case of murder in which his uncle, Lisani Dube (46) died on 10/12/23 after being struck with a knobkerrie on the forehead during a beer-drinking spree on 09/12/23 at Kungubo Business Centre,” reads the statement.
