Hunt for Greatness
Milton Kamwendo
DO not fear. Do not lose heart. Do not be discouraged. Brace yourself for greatness and heed the words of Seneca, who said: “It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.”
The greatness highway is not smooth. Face it. It has potholes, detours and danger hazards. It is fraught with delaying features and surprises. It is, however, not all negative. It also has its joys and adventures. It is a path of growth and adventure.
Do not fear obstacles. They make you stronger and better. You grow as you push through barriers and reach for great ideals.
Brace yourself to face whatever is thrown on your path. Welcome everything that happens as a gift. Each step you take is an element of your storybook.
Challenges are part of the journey. Glance at them but do not let them stop you.
Stop looking for pity. Take personal responsibility. Do your part. Build what you can. Fix what is broken. Play your part.
Obstacles are stepping stones that meet you to authenticate your significance.
Rivers — Cross them by singing, swimming or extending the land. Boulders — Climb them, circle them or tunnel your way through. Mountains — Face them, speak to them and direct them with faith and focus. Lions — Like them and hear them roar. They help train your senses and tame your fear factor.
Bumpy roads are not to be abandoned. Be ready to focus. Keep moving. Take massive action. Greet your goals from afar and light your faith flame. Hunt for greatness with agility.
Brace your spirit
Do not gamble. Do not doubt. Preserve and protect your focus. Eliminate superstition and games of chance. Focus like a laser. If something does not serve you or blinds your focus, dump it.
Plot your strategy and execute through whatever trials and tribulations. Work through your trials. Wake through your tired moments. Narrow the things you do. Clear your mind. Stop playing grasshopper games. Stick to the knitting. Brace your spirit.
Be clear in your mind about your focus and what you are driving towards. Other people may not see what I call your “base of focus” and may think you are taking on too much. When your base of focus is clear, your actions will be coordinated and coherent. Others may not see your focus base. Do not bother explaining. Just brace your spirit, feed your faith and focus.
Overwhelm doubt
Look beyond the clouds. See the big picture. Follow the rainbow. You are more powerful than you think. Summon your inner power. Ideate and initiate.
Harness your thought power and direct it towards great things. Do not feed worry.
Do not waste opportunity by dwelling on negativity. Focus your mind on creative solutions. Look ahead at the beautiful horizons.
Dwell on possibilities
Keep the big picture. Crowd faith into your mind. Stretch to think big. Do not be stuck on the launch pad. Do not be stuck in sawing sawdust. Dreams become true. Dream and clean out doubt.
Believe that you can be excellent and world class. Mindset makes ways. Focus on excellence. Make it an obsession. Commit to greatness.
Feeling failure
Do not let the fear of failure haunt you. Do not be afraid of trying. Do not be afraid of failing. Failure is a part of life.
It is an essential part of learning and growth. Fail, if necessary, in order to finally succeed. Learn from every attempt. Learn from your mistakes and those of others. Learn from whatever happens but do not dwell on the past. Use every failed attempt as a growth stimulant.
Look ahead towards greatness. Do not scale down your vision to fit the comfort levels of those who think small, desire little and are content with the ordinary. If others are going nowhere, do not adopt their driving style or lackadaisical speed. You have a vision and a dream. Act like you are going somewhere. Speak your destination, not your doubts.
Break limits
Stay positive. It is easy to despair and get discouraged when things get tough or rough. Stay positive and keep believing in yourself. Stop thinking about limitations. Liberate your mind from fear and evil frames.
Dwell on possibilities and drive to tap potential. It is not what you cannot do that matters.
Focus on what you can do. Use what you have. Do not look down on yourself. Respect what is in your hands.
Your thoughts and faith are your real leverage and wealth. Words create worlds.
Thoughts create things. Faith fashions forces. Think big. Take radical steps forward.
You will not play in the elephant kingdom thinking like an ant and having the mindset of a grasshopper.
Think differently and you start attracting different people in your life. Remove the limitations of scarcity. Think supply and not shortage. Think movement, not braking. Open your mind to unlimited potential and possibilities.
This journey of greatness is not a smooth one. Robust thinking is necessary. Resilience thinking is a requirement. Resourcefulness is de rigueur.
Bumps, potholes and detours all make the journey so rewarding. It is impossible to do great things and fail to grow.
When you face obstacles, you learn and grow. You develop resilience, problem-solving skills and feed faith. You learn to appreciate people and the help of others. The challenges of the greatness road make you human and humble.
It is not always easy to stay motivated when tough things get rough. Remember that everyone who has achieved greatness faces challenges. If you are on a bumpy stretch of the road to greatness, do not give up. Keep moving forward. Never give up on your dreams.
Brace for greatness. The journey is not easy. Keep moving forward and never give up on yourself or your dreams.
Committed to your greatness.
