TREASURY released $50,7 billion for projects last month as Government steps up the ongoing drive to rehabilitate the country’s infrastructure.
Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube said this at the recent post-Cabinet briefing.
Government, through its various arms, has been rolling out a myriad of infrastructure projects encompassing roads, dam construction, agriculture, housing and energy infrastructure.
“A total of $50,7 billion was disbursed towards infrastructure development in June 2022, mainly to roads, housing, dam, irrigation and education infrastructure construction,” said Professor Ncube.
Infrastructure development is key to economic growth and has numerous benefits for communities and the nation.
