Five hundred and eighty-seven cholera cases were recorded in July, which increased the cumulative cases since the outbreak to 3 844, latest statistics show.
According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Harare province has recorded the highest number of cases at 1 616, followed by Manicaland province, which has 1 509 cases.
Harare has been the epicentre of the disease since it was first reported in February.
Areas that have been affected so far include: Buhera, Chegutu, Chikomba, Chimanimani, Chipinge, Chitungwiza, Chiredzi, Harare, Gokwe North, Marondera, Mazowe, Shamva, Mutare, Murewa, Mwenezi, Seke and Hwedza,
Suspected and confirmed cases have been reported in all the country’s 10 provinces.
