MASHONALAND East Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Advocate Itayi Ndudzo has commissioned administration and A-level blocks built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Chabwino Secondary School in Goromonzi District.
The construction of the blocks is part of efforts by the church to complement the Government’s efforts to provide quality education to learners.
In addition, the church also built modern ablution facilities and refurbished all classroom blocks at the school.

Adv Ndudzo commended the gesture by the church, which he said will create a conducive environment for learners and staff at the school.
“Today, we commission not just buildings and facilities, but also hope. Hope for better learning, greater opportunity, and a brighter future for our children,” he said.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am honoured to acknowledge the Second Republic Government under the leadership of President Dr ED Mnangagwa.
“His visionary leadership continues to guide our nation’s transformation under the Vision 2030 Agenda: our collective mission to achieve an empowered and prosperous upper middle-income society by 2030.
“Inspired by his empowering mantra, “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,” we have witnessed unprecedented development in infrastructure, education, and community empowerment across all provinces. The project we commission today is a direct product of that vision.”
He said such investment in the education sector is a tangible reflection of President Mnangagwa’s commitment to leaving no child behind and ensuring every learning institution provides an environment fit for the 21st century.
“In line with this national vision, the Government of Zimbabwe, through the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, has worked tirelessly to improve access to quality education, particularly in rural and peri-urban areas,” he said.
“The ministry’s policies, focusing on Heritage-based education, modern learning environments, and inclusivity, are fundamentally transforming the lives of our learners and uplifting our communities.”
