Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, through the Agape Family Care, has donated food hampers, baby towels and toys to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital.

Speaking during the handover ceremony recently, United Family International Church (UFIC)’s Pastor Prime Kufakunesu said the donations were Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s desire of celebrating his birthday (December 25) with the underprivileged.

“Prophet Makandiwa will celebrate his birthday on the 25th of December, so as his culture since 2009 of celebrating his birthday with the less privileged, we have come here to celebrate with the admitted children.

“Our prophet believes that everyone should have a good time during the festive season, and that is why we have made this donation here today,” he said.

Pediatric division head, Matron Lucia Jongwe, commended the gesture, saying that it was going to help the hospital in these trying times.

“We have been affected from all sides because of Covid-19. We lost some breadwinners and some are even admitted due to the virus.

“We feel very humbled with the donations we have received today, and the groceries will help families who are failing to feed their children due to different circumstances,” said Matron Jongwe.
