NEW: Ambassador Shava leads Zim delegation to Niger

THE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador Frederick Shava, is leading a Zimbabwe delegation at the 17th Extraordinary Summit on Industrialisation and Economic Diversification in Niamey, Niger.

In his remarks at the summit on Thursday, Ambassador Shava said Zimbabwe was collaborating with the private sector to accelerate implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

“Zimbabwe has collaborated with the private sector to accelerate AfCFTA implementation,” said Ambassador Shava.

“This contributes to the promotion of industrial development on the continent through diversification and regional value chain development, as well as agricultural development and food security.”
