NEW: Anti-drugs blitz nets more dealers and peddlers

More than 2 266 drug dealers and peddlers have so far been arrested under the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP)’s ongoing operation codenamed “No to dangerous drugs and illicit substances.”

Forty people were arrested across the country on Wednesday alone.

“The anti-drug blitz on Wednesday February 16, 2023 arrested 40 people across the country on operation ‘No to dangerous drugs and illicit substances’, bringing cumulative arrests to 2 266,” said the police in a statement on Friday.
