NEW: Avenues Clinic opens new pharmacy

AVENUES Clinic, a subsidiary of Medical Investments, on Friday opened a new pharmacy in Harare to meet growing needs for patients.

Speaking during the official opening, Medical Investments group CEO, Mr Heath Dhana, said the pharmacy – located at the intersection of Sam Nujoma and Josiah Chinamano streets – will provide quality service.

“We have the most comprehensive collection of drugs and critical medicines needed in our hospital, and for us to feed the stock into retail pharmacies made a lot of sense,” he said.

Mr Dhana said the Avenues Clinic is working on several projects to improve health delivery.

“We are working on constructing a Cancer Unit at St Clements Clinic here in Harare to deal with cancer patients, especially children, because there is a growing number of children with cancer.

“In Victoria Falls we are also building a hospital in collaboration with other partners.”

Avenues Clinic pharmacy manager Mrs Patience Mudonhi said: “It takes the right mind-set to get anything done. It is not about resources or money, but it is what you believe in. We believe in providing the best to our clients.”
