Online Reporter

ALL is set for the BN Trust Academy Under-12 soccer tournament, which is set for Belgravia Sports Club in Harare on Saturday.

BN Academy director, Bekhimpilo Nyoni, said all the preparations have been done for the tournament, the first major event they have staged for the budding talents since the end of the Covid-19 induced suspension on football activities.

“The idea is to encourage our boys to have playing time, as a result BN Academy Trust will field two teams.

“It’s the beginning of more tournaments we are going to be holding for different age groups as we partner our parents as they look for sponsorship, as well as contributing for the hosting of these tournaments.

“The participating teams are academies around Harare and this is our first Under-12 tournament, which has been influenced by the talent we have in this age group.

Nyoni said there will be eight teams in two Pools of four teams, Pool A and Pool B.

The top two teams from each pool will progress into the semi-finals, and the losing teams in the semi-finals will play for the third-place play-off, while the semi-finals winners clash in the final.

BN Academy A and B teams, Galaxy Academy, Golden Eagles Academy and Forza Bhora Academy are among the teams that will be taking part in the tournament.
