NEW: Catholic sister turns heads at MSU graduation ceremony

SISTER Eva Zhorizho, of the Little Children of Our Blessed Lady (LCBL) congregation, turned heads at the Midlands State University (MSU)’s annual graduation ceremony on Thursday — held at the Kwekwe Campus for the first time — after scooping 11 awards in the Faculty of Education Dual Honours Degree in Humanities.

Such a performance could not escape the attention of President Mnangagwa, who capped 6 849 graduands at the ceremony.

Sister Zhorizho’s full list of accolades included:

1. Graduate with a First Class.

2. Awarded MSU Book Prize.

3. Awarded the Vice Chancellor Award for the Best Student in the Faculty of Education.

4. Awarded Professor William Chigidi Award for the Best Student in the Bachelor of Education Dual Honours Degree in Humanities.

5. Awarded the Commandent ZMA Award for the Best Undergraduate Student in the Department of Humanities, Business Development and Arts Education.

6. Awarded the Econet Wireless award for the Best Student in the Department of Humanities, Business Development and Arts Education.

7. Awarded the Coral Soft award and the Loveck Mafunga Award of full cover sponsorship for a master’s degree in the Faculty of Education at MSU as the Best Student in the Faculty of Education.

8. Awarded the Zinara Award for the Best Student in the Faculty of Education.

9. Awarded the CBZ Award for the Best Student in the Faculty of Education.

10. Awarded the NetOne Award for the Best student in the Faculty of Education.

11. Awarded the Pizza In Floating Shield Award for the Best Student in the Faculty of Education.
