NEW: CCZ, UZ in partnership to promote consumer protection

THE Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ) in partnership with the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is set to launch the CCZ Academy, an institution dedicated to equipping graduates with skills in consumer protection.

In a statement, CCZ executive director Mrs Rosemary Mpofu said the launch was scheduled for Friday at a Harare hotel.

Consumers International director-General Helena Laurent will be the guest of honour.

“The academy will target to train ordinary consumers and business operators on international best practices on consumer protection,” said Mrs Mpofu.

The launch is expected to be attended by captains of industry and consumers, among other delegates.
