CHIEF Shumba Hwenje is set to drop his 10th studio album titled “I Don’t Care” soon.
Some of the songs on the eight-track album include the title track “I Don’t Care”, “Marimuka”, “Muchaita Sei” and “Makanonoka Kundiroya”.
The “Mai Welly” hitmaker believes the new album will be a better effort relative to his previous productions.
“I believe this new project will be better than my previous albums.
“I engaged good producers and also took my time working on it,” he told The Sunday Mail Online in an interview.
On “I Don’t Care”, Chief Hwenje collaborated with Motswana singer Slizer (real name Naledi Kaisara).
“The album should be out by April. I have a collaboration track with Slizer to add some spice to the project,” he said.
“I am coming with something new, with a bias towards sungura/rhumba fusion on this apolitical project.”
The musician said he also intends to drop an accompanying video that will be shot in different parts of the country.
“We have selected a couple of destinations across the country for our video shoot, as we aim to promote both domestic and international tourism.”
